2012 Land Rover National Rally Date Change to October 2-7
The dates for the 2012 Rally were arranged during the 2010 Rally in Moab. It was scheduled in the summer to accommodate participants who wished to bring their families (schoolchildren) during the summer break.
It appears that Johnny Depp is using Moab as the location for his new Lone Ranger movie. This will result in a congested motels, restaurants and venues until July 9th. Even at this early time it appears there may only be ~70 housing units available for our week.
This poses a major problem for the 200-300 expected participants of the Land Rover National Rally.
This change will guarantee the necessary housing and facilities needed to have a world-class Rally.
We realize that this change may significantly affect families already planning vacations around the Rally. We regret the inconvenience that such a change may cause to our members and participants.
